Lady Captain's Day 2017_7Fiona Wood, March Golf Club’s Lady Captain hosted her Captains Day last week.

Emma Norman remains on top form winning the lower handicap group with 39 points, beating Sarah Oldham on countback. In the higher handicap division, Carolyn Morton returned a superb 41 points to take the top prize. Pam Hawes was second with 34 points, Viv Snushall with 32 points (Div 1) and Glenis Jones (Div 2) third with 31 points.

Other winners were; nearest the line, Brenda Softley; nearest the pin on the 2nd Ros Humphrey; nearest the pin on the 6th Emma Norman, longest drive (by a mile) Sarah Oldham.

Fiona said “ It was lovely to see so many ladies play and the weather conditions were almost perfect. The rain we had last week ensured the course was in great condition and this was reflected in some excellent scoring and a few handicap cuts! We enjoyed lots of bubbly and a delicious meal afterwards. I really enjoyed my day”.
